According to the report, the investigation yielded the seizure of 33 explosive devices, 20 rifles, seven handguns, and an inert mortar shell. Additionally, deputies discovered anabolic steroids in Lor’s possession, estimated to be worth around $3,100. The explosive devices included 28 Army grenade simulators, which are used in training to mimic the sound of a grenade explosion. However, even though they were not active, authorities considered them potentially dangerous.
Reese is now facing a whopping 33 felony charges related to the possession of explosive devices, as confirmed by court and jail records via Task and Purpose. On the other hand, Lor is confronting two felony charges for possessing explosive devices and another count for intending to distribute anabolic steroids. Both soldiers have appeared in court, and as of now, they remain in custody. The incident has prompted ongoing investigations, with the Army Criminal Investigations Division cooperating with local authorities to understand how and why these active-duty soldiers came to possess such items.
