Disagreements and Lack of Clarity Delay Decision-Making Process
Houston’s City Council delayed an important vote on 19 plans for cheaper Houston housing, reported by The Real Deal. These plans need the city’s approval to apply for tax credits that help make rents lower. But arguments among local leaders who benefits and where the Houston housing will hold caused the delay. This shows bigger problems with how handles Houston housing especially since there’s no solid plan from Mayor John Whitmire’s team. Some people don’t want affordable housing in their neighborhoods which makes it harder to agree on plans.
