After 2 years from being held into Police custody, Matthew Buford III, a 39-year old Iowa man was found guilty from a violent crime last 2020. He was suspected to be responsible for killing his own girlfriend and her friend which had prompted his arrest in February 22, 2020.

Iowa man Found Guilty Of Double Homicide

The sudden death of 42-year-old Tamica Allison and 41-year-old Andrea Anderson had sent shockwaves through their family and the community when they were found dead with gunshot wounds way back in 2020.

Authorities investigating the case was given with a name for the possible suspect, a 39-year old Iowa man named Matthew Buford III.

In a report from Fox news, the Iowan man was drinking with his girlfriend Tamica Allison in their home in Waterloo Iowa on the night of the murder. Allison’s friend, Andrea Anderson was visiting her friend and was also present on the scene.

According to Allison’s teen daughter, she had heard her mother say “What are you going to do, shoot me in the face? I don’t care, I’m not scared”. Two gunshot followed.

The daughter went downstairs to check what had happened and saw her mother with her friend motion less on the floor as reported in Caledonian record. She also admit on seeing Buford holding the gun.

After the incident, the Iowa man dropped the daughter and the younger brother to other homes then went on and flee the state.

Iowa man Sentencing

Deputies were then called and responded on the scene immediately.  Witness statement from the daughter had pointed the Iowa man as the culprit for the double murder.

After being on the run for a few days, the Iowa man surrendered in Peoria, Illinois where he was also arrested. The trial for the murder went on for months. At the end, the jurors found him guilty for two counts of first-degree murder and flight to avoid prosecution. He was sentenced with 2 life sentences last Thursday following his trial.

The Iowa man had not provided any motive about the murder.
