Two senior citizens are said to have been abducted on Monday at gunpoint and then managed to escape with the help of a kitchen knife; an inquiry is currently ongoing.
What Happened ?
The DeSoto Police Department alerted the Northern Ellis Emergency Dispatch Centre of a potential kidnapping in Midlothian shortly before 10 p.m. on October 9.
Following their response, Midlothian police met with the victims, a 72-year-old male and a 68-year-old lady, at the scene of the alleged assault.
Officers found during their investigation that three men had visited the victims’ residence in the 5000 block of Vernon Point earlier that evening. According to the police, all three criminals were armed and forced the victims inside a short-term rental home in DeSoto at gunpoint.
Officials added that the victims were restrained while the accused tried to access their internet bank accounts at this location.

Once the three suspects were detained for several hours, according to the police, the victims were freed from their bonds and managed to “subdue the remaining kidnapper after retrieving a knife from the home’s kitchen.”
After then, the victims allegedly fled to a nearby home and dialled 911. The remaining suspect, according to officials, left the scene.
While the suspect reportedly suffered serious injuries, including multiple knife cuts to his hands and maybe a major knife wound to his leg, the victims only suffered minor injuries during their escape, according to the police.
According to officials, one of the suspects, Noah Solomon Gulzar, 20, was a recognised acquaintance of the victims from a previous business endeavour. Red Oak and Ovilla, Texas, are the final known addresses for him.
Gulzar and the two other defendants who have not yet been named are facing additional charges.
