Belltown’s crime rate is 480% higher than that of the national state, so despite its affordable housing offers, the crime rate of Belltown is a major tradeoff. Belltown’s high number of assaults, robberies, and homicides that are being experienced by locals and visitors is one of the reasons why it is one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Seattle.

Coming in second on this list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Seattle is Northgate. Northgate, with its mere population of 4,283, has an unexpectedly high rate of crime. The crime rate in Northgate is 414% higher than that of the national average. Violent crimes such as robberies and assaults are common in this neighborhood.

South Lake Union took the third spot on this list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Seattle. Like the first two neighborhoods, South Lake Union also suffers from high crime rates; its crime rate is 350% higher than that of the US average. The most common crimes committed in this neighborhood are theft and break-ins.

Atlantic and Haller Lake Made It On The List Of Most Dangerous Neighborhoods In Seattle

Fourth on this list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Seattle is Atlantic. Atlantic, with its mere population of 5,555, has a violent crime rate of 1,538 per 100k residents. According to the data provided by Area Vibes, the crime rate in Atlantic is 106% higher than that in Seattle.

Haller Lake is last on this list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Seattle. Haller Lake, with its population of 9,105, experiences 1,129 crimes per 100k people. Haller Lake’s crime rate is 52% higher than that of Seattle.
