According to the Southwest Journal, things changed in Wisconsin, where football losses were feared. The state’s 2023 list of unsafe sites isn’t pretty. RoadSnacks examined 137 cities with over 5,000 residents using the FBI’s crime report. Wisconsin’s crime rates are higher than the national average, especially in Milwaukee and Madison. Despite having less than 10,000 residents, the smallest municipality on the list is the most dangerous.’ The answer? Perhaps more police, security cameras, or drug treatment. Top 10 Dangerous Cities

Beloit

It’s not safe in Beloit, Wisconsin. An hour south of Madison, there is a lot of crime. The most violent and property crimes happen in Beloit. There were 878 thefts at farmer’s markets in 2020. There were 74 car thefts, 117 burglaries, and the second-highest death rate in Wisconsin in this city. One in every 206 people who went there was severely attacked.

Brown Deer

The small town of Brown Deer, which is outside of Milwaukee, is not peaceful. Even though it’s pretty, it’s the second-most dangerous city in Wisconsin. The hamlet has 11,808 people, so it has the fifth-highest rate of property crime. Every two weeks, someone steals a car, showing that even small places can have big crime problems.

Milwaukee

People all over the world know Milwaukee for its beer and bikes. It’s too bad that it’s the most dangerous place. In 2020, one in 62 people there were victims of murder, rape, theft, or attack. Milwaukee had the highest rate of murder in the state and the second-highest rate of burglaries. Though it’s strong, you need to be careful.

Rice Lake

Only 8,526 people are living in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, which is in Brown County. But it has big problems. In 2020, there was one rape case every month, which was the third-highest number in the state. About 1 in 40 people were victims of property theft. Even in small towns, you need to be careful.

La Crosse

La Crosse, a city on the Mississippi River, has a lot of trade. Since there are 51,211 people living there, crime is higher. Crimes like theft and car theft happen. There are parks, museums, and colleges in La Crosse, which is good news.

West Allis

West Allis, a neighborhood in Milwaukee, is not safe. In 2020, 237 homes were broken into and 175 cars were stolen. Every week, there were assaults and thefts. It is not a good idea to walk alone at night in Greenfield Park.

Madison

Madison is the main city and second-largest city in Wisconsin. It is known for college sports and a lot of crime. The rate of property crime is the lowest, but the rate of burglaries is the third highest. Sixty-eight cars were stolen in 2020. The 15th-highest rate of serious crime in the state is also a worry.

Eau Claire

Eau Claire, whose name means “clear waters,” is having a hard time. Due to more thefts, it’s the ninth-most dangerous place in Wisconsin. One out of every 312 people is a victim of property crime. Even when the water is clear, you still need to be careful.

Grand Chute

Grand Chute, which is close to Appleton, is the ninth-most dangerous place in Wisconsin. In 2020, there will be at least one serious crime every week and two property crimes every day. The high crime rate can be eased by a butterfly garden and a wildlife refuge.

Hudson

Hudson, a town near Minneapolis, has grown. With 14,255 people living there, it has both pros and cons. It’s great that things are growing, but crime is awful. There were 329 property crimes in a year, which shows that growth can cause problems.
