Northampton County Seniors Benefit from Enhanced Property Tax Program
According to Saucon Source, in March seniors in Northampton County can get help with a program that gives money back for property taxes. This program is a team effort between the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and the Northampton County Area Agency on Aging. It’s meant to help people who are 65 or older widows who are 50 or older and people with disabilities who are 18 or older. The program has been improved recently to help more people. Now, you can make up to $45,000 a year and still get help. This change means that about 3,700 more people in Northampton County can get help this year. This shows that the program is serious about helping older folks and people with disabilities.

There are rules about who can get help. You can find these rules on the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue’s website. In March there will be times when you can just drop in at different places in Northampton County to get help with the program. This makes it easier for people who need help to get it.
