The Traffic Stop and Suspected Possession of Illegal Drugs

Two individuals from North Dakota were arrested during a traffic stop near Sisseton, North Dakota, which led to the discovery of possession of illegal drugs early on Sunday. According to a published article in KFYRTV, Officer Malcolm Edgar of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Tribal Police Department and Deputy Trevor Mishler of the Roberts County Sheriff’s Office initiated the stop upon suspicion of drug trafficking involving a vehicle in Roberts County.

The traffic stop was initially prompted by a minor violation, where the driver, Elijah Morrow, was found to not be of Native American descent.
