According to FOX News report, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, bus driver Jinhuan Chen has been given probation after saying that he accidentally ate THC gummies, which caused a blackout on the highway. Chen, 59, said he didn’t know anything about the THC-containing sweets because he couldn’t read or speak English. Daniel Esposito, Chen’s lawyer, talked about how happy Chen was that no one was hurt in the event. Because of the language problem, the case shows how complicated it can be in court processes, which affected the decision to put the person on probation.

Jinhuan Chen, a bus driver who has worked for Go Go Sun Tours for ten years, has been put on two years of probation after saying he accidentally ate marijuana-infused sweets, which caused an accident on I-95 in Stratford. Chen, who said he wasn’t aware through a Mandarin translation, was arrested on March 13 and found with cannabis-infused fruit chews. When his punishment is over, all 38 counts of careless endangering will be taken off his record.

Judge Elizabeth Reid gave Jinhuan Chen probation for eating marijuana-laced candy while driving a Go Go Sun Tours bus. Reid accepted the terrible effects that could have happened and praised Chen for quickly stopping and calling 911. Victor Chen, the boss of Go Go Sun Tours, spoke up for the long-time worker, saying that he had a clean record when it came to drug use and that the event was caused by a sweet tooth rather than any intentional behavior. Victor Chen was worried about how common pot was getting, saying, “This would never have happened a couple of years ago, but now there’s marijuana everywhere here.” The event brings to light bigger problems that come with weed goods being so easy to get.
