Death of Non-Binary Student Nex Benedict Raises Concerns
The death of Nex Benedict, a 16-year-old non-binary Native American student from Oklahoma has caused sadness and questions according to Native News Online. Nex died on February 8, one day after a fight at Owasso High School. Nex didn’t identify as male or female and was hurt in the fight but it’s not clear why they died. The police think the death of Nex might involve a crime. Nex got into a fight with three other students in a school bathroom.
