Police in Cullman, Alabama are making significant strides in their investigation of a horrifying assault that took place during the Rock the South country music festival in Cullman.
According to Fox News, the victim, Reid Watts, endured a brutal attack by several men after a dispute erupted over spilled drinks. Witnesses, including Watts’ girlfriend Katie Faye Hudgins, reported that the assailants approached Watts from behind, launching a vicious assault that left him unconscious and subjected to repeated stomping on his head with their boots. As a result of the attack, Watts suffered severe injuries, including a fractured nose, concussion, and large knots on the back of his head.

Police Chief Updates on Progress and Community Support in Cullman Assault Case
Cullman Police Chief David Nassetta conveyed that their investigation is making progress, and they are actively seeking eyewitness accounts or video evidence of the violent beating in the Cullman assault. A video circulated on social media showing multiple individuals participating in the assault while Watts lay defenseless on the ground. Nassetta expressed gratitude for the numerous tips received from people of Cullman claiming to know the suspects and assured the public that they are meticulously examining the information to identify the assailants further. This was reported in Decatur Daily.
Throughout the course of the music festival in Cullman, law enforcement arrested several individuals for various offenses, including disorderly conduct and public intoxication. However, their primary focus remains on apprehending those responsible for the vicious attack on Reid Watts. In support of the investigation, the organizers of Rock the South have offered a $10,000 reward along with lifetime tickets to the event for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the culprits. The community in Cullman is deeply disturbed by this incident and hopes for swift justice to be served to the perpetrators involved in this senseless act of violence.
