From recent demographics, some people are actually leaving. The net domestic migration for the past years were -37,655 in 2021 and -16,035 in 2022, in King County where Seattle belongs.
According to a recent study by Suffolk University for the Seattle Times, almost half of Seattle residents are considering moving to other city. The downtown streets are now overrun with unruly vagrants and junkies, causing the city’s reputation as a bustling metropolis to deteriorate.

Seattle Is Dying, 34% of People Considering Moving Away
The top reason why 34% of people considering moving away from Seattle is the increased crime rate. Residents claim that Gov. Jay Inslee and the liberal legislators have created an environment hostile to families, while welcoming petty thieves, drug pushers, and hardened felons.
Rather than allowing people to get warning signs to cease whatever they are doing, cities are creating entire industries that rely on enabling and expanding negative conduct.
