In Ann Arbor Michigan, low income entrepreneurs are about to receive an stimulus payment update. This is part of a program called Guaranteed Income . The stimulus payment update program aims to support those who are working hard but still find it hard. The University of Michigan Poverty Solutions team is the one who initiate this. The program is a two – year pilot project that started in January. It is been designated to help folks who identify as entrepreneur and small business owners gig workers .These people must also live in Ann Arbor and be at least 18 years old. To be eligible in stimulus payment update their income must be at or below 225% of the federal poverty line. That means those who receive or could qualify for federal assistance like SNAP and Pell Grants.

The programs goal is to provide stimulus payment update to these individuals. The payments are $528 each month and they will be distributed on the 15th of every month. This is to ensure that everyone gets their money on time even if there are weekends or holidays. The associate director of Poverty Solutions explained that this pilot is a way to recognize and support the contributions of these residents to the community.
