A West Virginia Coalition that supports anti-abortion pregnancy centers and organizations is receiving $1 million in taxpayer dollars.

$1 Million Grant Program Given To A Coalition Supporting Anti-Abortion Pregnancy Centers In West Virginia

SOURCE– The Pregnancy Center Coalition in West Virginia is a coalition that supports a network of anti-abortion centers and organizations. This Anti-Abortion Pregnancy Center Coalition encourages people not to end their pregnancies. This coalition supporting anti-abortion pregnancy centers was given $1 million in taxpayer dollars.

The Coalition will use the $1 million to distribute to anti-abortion centers to help spread the agenda of helping pregnant women and families with infants. Dr. Matthew Christiansen said that the program will help provide medical care, life-skills education, financial assistance, baby supplies, and maternal assistance. The grants under this program are available for maternity homes, anti-abortion pregnancy centers, and adoption agencies.

The law prohibits any organization from receiving funds that advocate or encourage the act of abortion. The Executive Director of the Coalition supporting anti-abortion centers commended Governor Justice for recognizing the need for help for pregnant West Virginia women and families with infants.

The Program Will Provide Assistance To Pregnant West Virginia Women, Says Governor Justice

According to US News, Governor Jim Justice stated in a press release that the West Virginia Pregnancy Center Coalition, which supports anti-abortion centers, will provide much-needed support to pregnant women and families with infants.

To receive funding, the West Virginia Pregnancy Center Coalition needs to establish reporting requirements and also an auditing procedure.
