Auto theft cases are also rampant in this City, with a total of 3,221 auto theft reports in the year 2020.
According to Southwest Journal , with St. Louis ranking first on most violent crimes per 100k people (2,016) and sixth on property crimes (5,830), St. Louis secured the top spot of the Most Dangerous Cities in Missouri List of 2023.

Springfield and Nevada, 2nd And 3rd Most Dangerous Cities In Missouri This Year
Springfield takes the 2nd spot on the list of most Dangerous Cities in Missouri. According to House Grail Article, Springfield’s crime rate in 2020 was 144.56 crime per 100k people.
Springfield being on this list is not that surprising, considering it has ranked 2nd on the list of Most Dangerous Cities in Missouri for two consecutive years.
Last on the Most dangerous Cities in Missouri list is Nevada. With a population of only 8,246, the city has reported 149 aggravated assaults and 9 sexual assaults. Nevada ranking 3rd on violent crimes per 100k people and 7th in property crimes, took the last spot on the Most Dangerous Cities in Missouri list of 2023.
