Michael Cohen Criticizes Ex-President Donald Trump Arrested Treatment Amid Allegations of Election Interference

Former attorney to Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, has expressed strong disapproval of the special treatment accorded to the ex-president during his recent arrest at Fulton County Jail. According to Mediaite, the Donald Trump arrested case is linked to allegations from District Attorney Fani Willis that Trump and 18 others tried to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results. Cohen shared his concerns in a talk with MSNBC’s Ali Velshi.

Cohen Decries Excessive Security in Donald Trump Arrested Case, Questions Fair Treatment for Indicted Defendants

Cohen found it startling that Donald Trump arrested case involved an elaborate security operation, including a convoy of police vehicles and Secret Service personnel. According to the report, Cohen argued that this excessive security was unnecessary and costly, considering Trump’s standing as an indicted defendant facing 91 charges. Cohen emphasized that Trump shouldn’t receive such privileged treatment and highlighted the burden placed on taxpayers and the Atlanta community.

Following the Donald Trump arrested case, he further criticized the extravagant entrance, comparing it to a victorious Roman leader’s parade. Cohen’s remarks underline his belief that Trump’s status as an indicted defendant should negate such grand gestures. Trump’s legal woes extend beyond Georgia, involving three criminal indictments concerning election interference, alleged hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, and mishandling of classified information post-presidency.
