The incident took place Thursday night in Gulfport when the person in question reportedly pointed a weapon toward Harrison County Mississippi deputies.
According to Fox News, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety spokesperson, Bailey Martin, confirmed the details.
The specific identity of the individual who was fatally shot has not been disclosed at this time by the Mississippi deputies.
Furthermore, Martin did not provide information regarding the number of Mississippi deputies who discharged their firearms. It was, however, stated that none of the responding officers sustained any injuries during the encounter.
