Eviction lawyers have labeled Heather Schwab as a serial squatter, and she is wanted. She is the subject of a criminal arrest warrant in Texas for the first time ever.
What Happened?
Schwab is accused with third-degree felony fraud by Rowlett police for renting property under a fictitious identity. Jessica and Colin Davis are parties to the case.
The couple had to move due to a job relocation, so they rented their Rowlett house to a woman going by Rayes Ruybal.
Checks began to bounce then, so they investigated further and found earlier reports on Schwab. And that is precisely who was discovered residing in the house when CBS News Texas arrived.

The Davis family claims they were informed it was a civil matter when they initially went to the police. When CBS News Texas began to raise questions, that was altered.
“In most cases, altercations or differences between landlords and renters usually goes to the civil court, but we did get contacted by CBS 11 and that’s when we decided to give it a second look,” Cruz Hernandez, a Rowlett police detective, said.
According to the authorities, Schwab’s use of a false name is the primary distinction in this case that turns it into a criminal investigation. The department is asking anyone who knows where she is to contact them.
