According to Valley News Today, Russia is upset with the United States. They say if the U.S. takes away their money that’s been frozen because of the Ukraine war, they might stop being friends. The Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Ryabkov, warns that Russia isn’t eager to break ties, but things like taking their money or more fighting could make it happen. The relationship is already very bad because of the war in Ukraine.

Russia is against an idea from the West to give about $300 billion of its frozen money to Ukraine. Russia says this would hurt the world’s money system a lot. If any country takes Russia’s money, Russia says they won’t be friendly and might take away money from other countries.
This follows Russia’s strong response to Western punishments for the Ukraine war. President Putin recently made European companies lose big money in Russian projects as a way to fight back against the sanctions. The situation is getting more tense, and Russia is showing they won’t take things lightly.
