This growth has increased crime, which is concerning. Auto theft surged 13.6% in the state, leading the nation. Nationwide, Colorado ranks second in property offenses. Despite its rich history and natural attractions like the biggest thermal springs swimming pool and the Great Sand Dunes National Park’s towering sand dunes, the state struggles to govern its rising population and assure public safety.
